So, here is my Earth Art a month later. And as you can see, there's nothing there! I live in an apartment, so I'm guessing either the kids who play outside messed it up, or the maintainance guys.... Anyway, I'm glad I documented the whole thing! (You can see my Earth Art post in November Archives)

This week we are making doodles for google! We are making a picture for a google doodle showing what we think is our future, or our ideas for the future. First, we made a mind map, and had to explain it. In my mind map, we are no longer depending on fossil fuels as energy. Everything is powered by the sun and everything has solar panels- cars, buildings, etc. There is a sun tower to store energy, so if it's raining or cloudy out for a long time, we will still have energy. There are driver less cars, so there are no accidents. And cars will fly in the sky, so there will be less clutter on the ground. Only public transportation will be on the ground. There are parking lots throughout the towns and cities, and that's where cars stay until you're ready to use them again. Outside the parking lots are bike rentals and baby stroller rentals, and you can bring them back when you go back to your car to go back home or where you need to go. Because we now have more space there are more trees in use, and we don't really use trees to make paper anymore- everything is online now. There is a lot less pollution because of all these changes. Most jobs are in engineering now to make more technology and make things even better. People are healthier because they are exercising more because they have to either walk or ride a bike to get around. There are also no more phones. People use little devices to call people and it shows a hologram of their body and who they're calling so its like they are there. There will be equality because the government created a device that erased all reason of racism, sexism, and discrimination. People remember what it is but they think it was ridiculous and silly. Even though there are all these changes, though, there is not world peace, because we are human and we do still get in arguments! But it is not as hectic and violent as it is today. Futuristic Questions...What do you think it will be like in our future? - There will be driver less cars - Robots will work for us so mostly jobs are in engineering - People will live longer - Robots will be patrols - We'll live on another planet and Earth will be abandoned How will people communicate with family and friends? - There will be holograms in place of phones so the it'll be like you're there How will we commute to school or work? - We will use driver less cars, so kids could go on their own in their own car because it would be safe Will there be world peace and equality?
- Yes, there will be equality because they would have erased all memory and reason of racism, sexism, and discrimination, so everyone is thought of as equal. Choices and RestrictionsThis week in the studio we got to choose what project we wanted to do! We also had to have a few restrictions to challenge us, which made it even more fun. I was already really excited for this project since we did styrogami, so I already knew what I wanted to do-The Powerpuff Girls! I gain skills with familiar materials- with some restrictions |
Sasha SterlingI am a student in my sophomore year at Vernon Malone College and Career Academy. In my freetime, I enjoy talking to my friends, writing, reading, and doing art.
